Attribution: What Makes Revenue Happen?

Tuesday November 26, 2019 03:00 PM Europe/Copenhagen

“Half the money I spend on advertising is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half.” - John Wanamaker (1838-1922).

Understanding what activities and campaigns contribute to your company’s revenue and what, in lack of better words, is a waste of money, is critical for a business to know.

Ask most marketers and growth responsible people their opinion on attribution. You’ll probably get as many answers as people you ask. It’s a love/hate relationship. Yes, you want to at all times be able to tie your actions to revenue created. No, you can’t possible grasp everything that had a contribution to making revenue happen.

What attribution can do for you is to get you as close to the truth as a data set can take you. In the end, you still need to add a pinch of gut feeling and thinking to your decision making.

The goal for doing your own attribution should be to develop a data set that reflects a full customer journey, that you trust enough to act on it. And when you do act, you most likely make more revenue.

In this webinar three experienced growth people discuss the topic of attribution and covers all the challenges related to it:

- What is attribution and why is it important?
- How does the different attribution models work?
- How can you start to understand what makes your revenue happen?
- Is there a difference whether you in B2B or B2C?
- What are the common attribution flaws and pitfalls?
